Use the USB cable included in the box, or connect wirelessly if your device supports Bluetooth. Follow the prompts on screen.

Choose a PIN directly on your Ledger. Then write down your 24-word recovery phrase and keep it somewhere private and offline.

Your 24 words
are everything.
Your recovery phrase is the master key to your crypto. It belongs to you—and only you. Ledger can’t see it, store it, or recover it for you.
- ✓Write it down offline. Use the recovery sheet included with your device.
- ✓Keep it private. Never share it with anyone, even someone claiming to be support.
- ✓Never type it online. Enter recovery words only on your Ledger device.
What do I need to get started?
Your Ledger device, the cable included in the box, and a computer or smartphone with an internet connection. Keep a pen and paper nearby for your recovery phrase.
Where can I find my recovery phrase?
Your recovery phrase is generated on your Ledger device during setup. It is shown only on the device screen—never in Ledger Live, a website, or a message. Write it down on the recovery sheet and store it securely.
Can Ledger support ask for my 24 words?
No. Never share your recovery phrase with anyone, including Ledger Support. Anyone who has it can access your crypto. Ledger will never ask you to enter it online.
I already have a recovery phrase. What should I do?
Choose the option to restore from a recovery phrase on your device, then enter the words using the device itself. Make sure you are in a private place and never type your phrase into a computer or phone.
